Literature

Stephen O. Murray and Keelung Hong Special Collections holds a wide variety of first and early editions of important works of literature, as well as archival literary collections, all spanning nearly seven centuries. Highlights include: Strong holdings in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British literature; Many editions of Shakespeare, among them the 1685 Fourth Folio; The Jack and Susan Davis Rare Book Collection, containing important editions of hundreds of notable modern authors like Joyce Carol Oates, Langston Hughes, and Gertrude Stein; The John R. Ford Paperback Collection, highlighting how classic and popular literature were marketed through their cover art; The Donald A.
