Strategic Planning Committee
Special Projects
The formation of the Libraries’ first strategic plan in twenty years was high-impact work, and also high-demand work. The intellectual and emotional rigors involved - as well as the time commitments (35+ hours!) -were more substantial than anyone could have anticipated. The Committee was charge with the harrowing task of reviewing, synthesizing, and condensing an enormous amount of stakeholder feedback into a harmonized, attractive, and usable document. The nature of the project meant it was conducted in the spotlight, under a tight timeline, and without the support of precedent or past experience. The committee’s willingness to show up, stay engaged, and flex around existing responsibilities is so appreciated. Their work has given the libraries a long-term positive direction that’s particularly useful during our current period of difficulty and uncertainty.
