OER Accessibility

Open Educational Resources (OER) adopted, adapted, or created through the MSU Libraries' OER Award Program must be accessible and usable by all abilities and assistive technologies. Please refer to the OER accessibility checklist and resources below for additional information and help.

MSU Libraries' OER Accessibility Checklist

The MSU Libraries' OER Accessibility Checklist describes the MSU Libraries' specific OER accessibility requirements and expectations.

OER Accessibility Resources

  • OER Accessibility Toolkit from BCcampus
The goal of this accessibility toolkit, 2nd edition, is to provide resources for each content creator, instructional designer, educational technologist, librarian, administrator, and teaching assistant to create a truly open textbook—one that is free and accessible for all students. This is a collaboration between BCcampus, Camosun College, and CAPER-BC.

  • Floe Inclusive Learning Design Handbook
This handbook is a free Open Educational Resource (OER) designed to assist teachers, content creators, Web developers, and others in creating adaptable and personalizable educational resources that can accommodate a diversity of learning preferences and individual needs.

  • MSU Accessibility Liaison List & Contact Info (by Major Academic Unit)
MSU College/Departmental Accessibility Liaisons are a great resource for MSU faculty/instructors who have questions about web and course content accessibility.

  • MSU Web Accessibility Website
Web accessibility information and resources from MSU IT.
