Due to major system maintenance, you will not be able to request items through MeLCat beginning on November 18, 2015. Renewals for MeLCat items will still be possible until December 2, 2015. The system should be available for requesting again in early December. If you are MSU faculty, student or staff, please try Uborrow. Our community borrowers will not have access to interlibrary loan through MSU during that time. For more information, please read this MeLCat Server Migration FAQ. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Vincent Voice Library
History speaks in the Vincent Voice Library, where students have access to historic and current recordings from around the world.
The voices of more than 100,000 individual speakers – from political and cultural leaders to men and women on the street – comprise the collection's 40,000 hours of recordings. Also featured are the earliest days of sound technology, including recordings from Thomas Edison's laboratories and other experimental mechanisms.
The Vincent Voice Library is resource for news organizations, broadcast networks, and film and Web site production companies, as well as MSU students and faculty.
Contributions to the Vincent Voice Library support the ongoing digitization of recordings, making them available for listening through the MSU Libraries’ online catalog. To make a gift, you may donate online.
