History Bibliographer, Collections Management Division, 1984-Present
Serves as selector of materials in American history, "general" history, Canadian Studies, and military science. Selector for Asian Studies, 1988-1989; German studies, 1984-1986; British history, 1984-1987. Purchases in assigned areas average $81,000 per year. In this capacity provides liaison between the library and faculty/students in those areas as well as specialized reference service and bibliographic instruction. Coordinator for expensive material/microform purchases, 1984-1996. Staffed Government Documents/Social Sciences and Humanities reference desk on a regular basis, 1987-2000. Canadian Documents Librarian and Cataloger, 1997-present.
Assistant Director, Canadian Studies Centre, 1999-June 2007 (concurrent with previous position)
Responsible for the Centre's Web pages, including creation, standardization, and maintenance. Assists in planning the annual meetings of the Michigan Canadian Studies Roundtable and in the creation, standardization, and maintenance of its Web site. Provides outreach to the government and business community. Is the Centre's main contact with the East Lansing Film Festival. Participates in the meetings of the CSC Advisory Board. Assists the Centre's Director as needed.

Catalog Editor, Cataloging Department (concurrent with previous position) 1982-1984
Supervised the Card Processing/Cataloging Maintenance Section, a unit of four clerical and several student workers. This section processed and filed catalog cards received from RLIN and typed and filed cross-reference cards. An additional task was the reviewing of theses and dissertations prior to binding and filming. As part of a divisional reorganization, successfully integrated this section into the Cataloging Department.
Eliminated backlogs in card filing and authority worksheet processing. Inaugurated staff documentation of activities. Instrumental in transferring theses/dissertation tasks back to the Graduate School.
Authority Coordinator, Cataloging Department, 1981-1984
In this newly created position, implemented new authority control procedures to cope with AACR2. Prepared documentation for these procedures. Closely coordinated authority activities within the Cataloging Department and between other departments of the Library.
Serials Cataloger, Cataloging Department, 1979-1981
Cataloged newly purchased serials as well as title changes and remedial work following AACR2, CONSER, and RLIN guidelines. Material included FAO, OECD and WMO items. Planned procedural changes of serials cataloging for a transition from OCLC to RLIN.

Performed cataloging on newly purchased serials as well as title changes and remedial work according to AACR1 and INCOLSA guidelines. Material included UN and FAO items.
Catalog Editor, Cataloging Department (concurrent with previous position), 1976-1977
Responsible for filing and maintenance of the subject catalog. For six months acting Chief Catalog Editor. Supervised one clerical assistant and 1-3 student workers. During this time codified existing procedures and filing rules. Both editor positions required extensive coordination with departmental and divisional staff.
Monographic Cataloger, Cataloging Department, 1974-1977
Performed cataloging on monographs, theses, and dissertation in history and the social sciences according to guidelines of AACR1. Material included UN and OECD printed documents. Participated in planning and implementation of OCLC.
