If you close your web browser without logging off the system, you may be caught in a loop of error messages caused from "cached" pages. This is because the computer stores previously visited web pages in its memory and recalls them from memory rather than calling them up fresh every time from the system. To determine if this is your problem, look at the bottom line of the error message page that you are receiving after a log-on failure. If it reads "Message: 33 [STAR User ID "your ID" is already in use.]" then clearing your computer's cache may correct this, as long as 30 minutes has elapsed since the initial failure to log off.
