French caption "no" (numéro)
When using the French caption "no" (short for numéro) in serial records:
- In bib. records, authority records, 853-855, 866-868, and LDR's, do NOT use a period.
- In bib. records, authority records, 866-868, LDR's, and on handwritten labels, input a space between the caption and the number, e.g., no 2, without using a period.
- In check-in cards, on printed labels and on spines of bound volumes, and in volume fields of item records, use no. as the caption, e.g., no.2, with a period and without a space.
