Ordering: Millennium Updating Tips
If you know that all the records you will be putting in are going to be printed, or will all have a received date you can go the top and choose "Admin", scroll down to "Settings" and check-mark the boxes that apply.

Updating from a Boolean
- Go, create lists
- Highlight the review file
- Click on show record
- EditTab or arrow to the proper field (You have to click in a field to get your mouse active to be able to tab)
- Once updated, Save, Queue to print if necessary
- Go to next record by doing file, next record or ctrl-]
Also, when updating order records there will be times where you have to make a change or addition to the bibliographic record as well.
While in the order record, go to the top and click "Edit". This will bring up the bibliographic record. Make the necessary changes, go to the top and click on "Summary", "Save" and you will be brought back to the order record.
Attach to .b
- Go to the "Index" scroll down menu and choose Record # (.)
- Type in the .b# ex. b61493472 (do not put the dot)
- Click on "Summary" (It may already be at the summary screen)
- In the "View" menu choose "Order" and then choose "attach: attach to .b_____ "
- Fill in the appropriate fields
Creating new records
Before you begin creating new records, go to "Admin", "Settings" and go to the bottom where it says : "Records to attach to new bibliographic records : []Item []Order []Checkin" Mark the "Order" box and then the order record will automatically come up after you input the bibliographic record. You can also choose to have all orders printed or have a received date put on all orders at this screen.

- Fill in each necessary field by tabbing and using the enter key, or if you prefer you can use the mouse.
- After you have entered the bibliographic record an "Options" Box will come up asking you if you want a received date or have all orders queue to print. This should be set how you want it, if not make changes now and press "OK"
- It will ask you to "Select Template". Choose : "attach: attach to .b_____", then press "Select"
- Fill in appropriate fields for the order record.
- If you need to add an identity, vendor note, note, etc., you can either click "Insert" on the top of the screen or "Ctrl-I". This will bring you a scroll down menu, you can either scroll down to the correct field or if you know the correct code (ex. vendor note you would choose "v", then tab and you can start typing.
- Be sure to save the record and print if necessary.
Foreign Currency
When updating a record double click in the E Price field This will bring up a scroll down menu that says "Currency", scroll down to the currency you want, type in the E Price and press "OK".
When creating a new record the currency box will automatically come up while you are entering through the fields. Use the scroll down menu and type the E Price just as stated above.
Tips in Millennium
Depending on if you are a mouse user or not, you can do several functions without using the mouse.
- Alt-Q close
- Ctlr-n new
- Ctlr-s save
- Ctlr-I insert
If a field on the screen has one letter underlined, place your mouse, without clicking, on that field and it will tell you how to do that function on the keyboard.
Keying Substitution Phrases
- Go to the variable length field
- Right click and choose substitution phrases
- Click on "Temporary" Box
- Add
- Type the information
- Add
- Then in the variable length field type ex. %0 and left click over to the side somewhere and the information will come up.
