Austin Johnson has been an all-star this past year. Austin’s primary responsibilities are with Remote Storage and Stacks Maintenance. However, this last year Austin has been called upon to help in other units that were short-staffed. Austin spent a great deal of time with facilities this year, moving furniture and setting up office space to make the library a safe place during the pandemic. Austin also worked a lot in the mail room making the mail runs in the afternoon. Then when Remote Storage became short-staffed, he quickly shifted back to his work there. He has been bounced around a lot this year, sometimes with little notice. Through all of that, Austin continues to have a positive, can-do attitude. He definitely fulfilled the “perform other duties as assigned” aspect of his job this year. Way to go, Austin! Your hard work deserves to be recognized!
