Resume and professional
information.
-
PROJECT ONE: Full text of "Twenty-Five Lectures on Modern Balkan History"
online. (See
also Project Three below.)
-
PROJECT TWO: "Intelligent" Web pages for reference assistance:
-
At Swarthmore College in 1994-95, I put together an experimental Web-based
reference helper called SCHOLAR (Swarthmore College On Line Assistant for
Reference). This site is no longer online, but a version of it tailored
to MSU holdings can be seen as
MSOLAR. Caution:
links on this site are not regularly maintained, but the general design is
still apparent.
-
A page of links to
Web-based reference
schemes.
-
A GD/SSHR training page on
reference Web sites
at university libraries.
-
An outgrowth of this project appeared as an article on "A Typology for Ready
Reference Web Sites in Libraries" in the online journal,
First
Monday.
-
PROJECT THREE: A Web page with annotated links to full text sources on Balkan
and East European history would be useful for high school and college students,
who like to work with Internet sources: it would recommend stable sites from
reliable sources, mainly in English, on historical topics for which information
is not widely available. The interim list is now long enough that it
has its own
page.
