Fuel Efficiency

In 2004, 173,750,000 gallons of fuel were consumed in the United States with approximately 715 gallons used per vehicle.1 With the fluctuation in gas prices, some drivers may be interested in fuel efficiency. Some options are smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles, but another option is alternative fuel. For example, many vehicles are able to use E85, which is a type of fuel that uses ethanol. To date, there are approximately 6 million E85 compatible vehicles on American roads.2 Are the cars and fuel effective? That is for you to decide.
This display provides material on fuel efficiency and ethanol fuel.
