Labor: Yesterday and Today

"I believe you should tell the story of injustices, of inequalities, of bad conditions, so that the people as a whole in this country really face the problems that people who are pushed to the point of striking know all about, but others know practically nothing about."

~Eleanor Roosevelt, CIO Convention, 1943~

Labor Day was recently celebrated, and it was a day to recognize the labor movement and its achievements for workers. The first Labor Day was celebrated in 1882. The labor movement has faced a variety of issues over the years.
