a presentation about Dudley Randall and The Broadside Press, the
Black Arts and Black Consciousness Movements of the 1960s and 1970s,
and the changing face of community-based publishing.

Exhibit Information: A concurrent exhibit
on 4-West of the Main Library, gives an historical overview of Broadside
and showcases texts from this significant and revolutionary small
press. It will be up through August 2005.
This event
is co-sponsored by Libraries, Computing & Technologies, and
is in coordination with Michigan Week made possible by the
Library of Michigan Foundation, the Michigan Humanities Council,
the Michigan Center for the Book and the Michigan Council for Arts
and Cultural Affairs.
