This exhibit chronicles the modern Summer Olympics from the first games in Athens, Greece in 1896 to the 2004 games as they return to Athens for the first time in 108 years. From canoeing to handball to taekwondo, see the greatest athletes the world has to offer, past and present, through a selection of books, pictures, photographs, and artifacts. Learn the connection that the State of Michigan and Michigan State University have to the Olympic Games.
