Transliterating Asian Languages

Michigan State University Libraries contain many books and other materials from or about Asia which are written in non-alphabetic scripts that have to be transliterated or "romanized" into alphabetic form if they are to be used. This exhibit shows how some of these nations and their languages have dealt with the problem.
