The mission of the Binding Preparation Unit is to support the preservation processes of the MSU Libraries. The Binding Preparation Unit coordinates the binding and re-binding of books and journals for the Main Library and Branch Libraries through the HF Group. In addition to the preparation of materials to be bound, the Unit is also responsible for the deacidification process (done through Preservation Technologies Inc.) as well as the shrink wrapping of brittle material not suitable for binding.
