To use the CD burner on the Full Set of Applications (CD-RW) machines.

  1. Put either a blank CD or one that you have written to (copied to) before in the CD Drive.
  2. Click Start
  3. Click Programs
  4. Click Utilities
  5. Click Roxio Easy CD Creator 5
  6. Click Applications
  7. Click Easy CD Creator
  8. Click Accept the terms of the agreement and then click ok
  9. A window will appear that has two halves.
    1. The top half will show the folders on the C drive.  There is a drop down window where you can change the drive to any of the ones listed such as the a:\ drive or your AFS space.
    2. The bottom half will have two parts to it: the left side will show the CD and a label that will be the current date and a sequential number.  If you highlight the label and then click again, you can change the name of the CD to something meaningful to you.
    3. The part on the right is where the files to be copied will be placed.  Highlight the files and/or folders in the upper window to be copied.  You can then click the Add icon between the two halves or drag and drop the files and/or folders into the lower right part.  If you place one there you decide not to copy, you can highlight and then use the remove icon or click the delete key to remove for copying.
  10. When you have all the files you want to copy (write) to the CD, then click the large red Record button to the right between the upper and lower parts.  The program will then copy the files and/or folders to the CD you have placed in the CD drive.
  11. Click the X in the upper right corner to close the program when you have finished copying your files and/or folders.  Answer no when the program asks if you want to save the layout.
