American National Election Studies (ANES)
The American National Election Studies (ANES) produces high quality data on voting, public opinion, and political participation to serve the research needs of social scientists, teachers, students, policy makers and journalists who want to better understand the theoretical and empirical foundations of national election outcomes. The surveys include questions on religion.

Arts and Religion Survey 1999 [United States]
This data set offers information on Americans' opinions about the role of the arts relative to religion. Respondents were asked questions about their creative and arts-related activities; their attitudes toward the arts; their religious activities, behaviors, beliefs and affiliations; their spiritual (or "uplifting") experiences; their attitudes toward religion and spirituality; the role of the arts in religious contexts; the relationship between art and spirituality; and their involvement in charitable activities.

ICPSR
ICPSR has a number of social surveys that as questions about religion. For example, there are the General Social and International Social Surveys.

National Congregations Study 1998
Available through ICPSR, the National Congregations Survey (NCS) elicited from respondents a description of their religious congregation, including its membership, the content of its worship service, and its other activities.

North American Jewish Data Bank
The North American Jewish Data Bank is the central repository of social scientific studies of North American Jewry. The Data Bank archives and makes available electronically questionnaires, reports and data files from the National Jewish Population Surveys (NJPS) of 1971, 1990 and 2000-01. In addition to the NJPS studies, the Data Bank provides access to other national Jewish population reports, including the American Jewish Identity Survey (AJIS) and the Survey of Heritage and Religious Identification (HARI), 2002. Approximately 100 local Jewish community studies from the major Jewish communities in North America are also included in the Data Bank holdings. Registration is required to access data.

Social Explorer
Social Explorer, in association with the Association of Religious Data Archives, releases maps and reports at the county level that provide counts of adherents and congregations of most demoninations in the United States for 1980, 1990 and 2000, including Catholics, many Protestant Denominations, both Evangelical and mainline, Mormons, Muslims and Jews, etc. Want to know where the Bahai or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) are concentrated by state or county? Social Explorer can tell you!

World Values Survey
The survey shows values and cultural changes in societies all over the world. A variety of questions on religion and morality were included. Registration is required to access data.
