This print book from the Office of the Provost can be found in the Main Library. Earlier editions can be found in the catalog. There are also other Office of the Provost publications.

Department of Education Crime Statistics Database
Crime statistics for MSU and other postsecondary schools are available. Data can be retrieved for one institution or more to compare.

Enrollment and Term End Reports
Available through the Office of the Registrar, the reports give data on university enrollment including ethnicity, gender and where the students come from, college enrollment, GPAs, majors, and degrees conferred. Data is available from 1994-1995 to current. Earlier reports can be found here. These and other Office of the Registrarar publications can be found in print in the library. Faculty & Academic Staff Salary List
This print book in the Main Library gives annual salary. It also has earlier editions. More information on faculty salary information can be found here.

Finanical and Cost Analysis
This web site includes information on university financial information including financial statements.

The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)
IPEDS is the core postsecondary education data collection program for NCES. Data are collected from all primary providers of postsecondary education in the country in areas including enrollments, program completions, graduation rates, faculty, staff, finances, institutional prices, and student financial aid.

Michigan State University Police
MSU Police have Crime Stats linked off this page and also have annual reports, which include some statistics. On this page only the current year is listed but the file names follow the same pattern in that the year changes. It looks like it goes back to 2004.

Office for International Students & Scholars (OISS)
The OISS has a statistical report that includes information on international enrollment observations and highlights. It is available online 2003 to current. The Main Library has some earlier print editions.

Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives
The Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Initatives publishes annual data reports that contains data in charts, graphs and tables to illustrate changes in areas of employment and enrollment as they relate to women, minorities and persons with disabilities.

Office of Planning and Budgets (OPB)
The OPB keeps track of institutional historic data. They are a big source for university data. They have:
* Data Digest: a compilation of comprehensive quantitative information about Michigan State University. The Data Digest contains official counts and provides a consistent set of information over the duration of the display.
* Graduation rate information
* Planning Profile Summary: Planning Profile Summary Reports (PPS)- Used in the University's planning process to show planning data element percent changes and values for five years for a selected unit or sub-unit.
* PPS Report Generator: A tool to create your own reports using a subset of data available in pps.
* Profile Reports: Reports on Headcounts of Entering Class and Student Profiles by Semester.
* Standard Reports: Reports on Academic Staff, Budget, Course Capacity, Degrees Conferred, Students, Student Credit Hours by University academic and non-academic units.
* The Common Data Set is a set of standard questions and definitions of institutional data agreed upon in collaborative effort by the higher education community and publishers represented by the College Board, Peterson's and US News & World Report. It includes information on enrollment, expenses, student life, financial aid, class size, and much more. Data is available 2001/02 to current.

Safety and Security Information
Michigan State University, in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, has published this document to provide its students and employees with an overview of the University's security resources, policies, and procedures. Some statistics are included.

Water Quality Report
The report is a snapshot of the quality of the water that MSU Power and Water provides campus. It featers water source information, health and safety information, and water quality data. The web site provides the access to the current report right now, but you probably could contact the them for past years if necessary.
