Find numeric data on international studies from your library. There are also numeric data resources on International Development.

British Bankers Association (BBA)
The BBA is the leading association for the UK banking and financial services sector. They have information on: Annual Abstract of Banking Statistics, Banking Facts and Figures, Basic Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, GOLD (Global Operational Loss Database) for the confidential 'pooling' of loss event information, and small business support.

China Data Center (CDC)
The China Data Center at the University of Michigan is a new initiative to advance the study and understanding of China. A primary goal of the Center will be the integration of historical, social and natural science data in a geographic information system, where spatial and temporal references will be maintained through a relational database. It includes free and pay resources.

China data online [electronic resource] = Zhongguo shu ju zai xian
Comprehensive online database focusing on economic statistics of China, arranged by regions and categories. It is only available to MSU Faculty, Staff, and Students.

China Dimensions
You will find a variety of socioeconomic data in this site, including Geographic Information System (GIS) databases that cover the administrative regions of China, presented at a scale of 1:1,000,000. These databases may be integrated with agricultural, land use, environmental, and socioeconomic data to track China's economic growth, population increases, and environmental change.

CIA Factbook
Each country page iIncludes basic info like GDP, number of mobile phones, internet users, roadways, etc.

Economic Expert Group
The Russian Group provides a table of key economic indictators for Russia. It provides recent information like CPI, PPI, GDP, and budget information.

Erik Herron's Guide to Politics in East Central Europe and Eurasia
This web site has country pages that provide links to information on the country's government, agencies, institutions, political information including political parties, regional information, news and media, search engines, and other miscellaneous sites.

The European Social Survey
The European Social Survey (the ESS) is a biennial multi-country survey covering over 30 nations. The first round was fielded in 2002/2003, the second in 2004/2005 and the third in 2006/2007. It includes the following subjects: media use, social and public trust; political interest and participation; socio-political orientations, governance and efficacy; moral, political and social values; social exclusion, national, ethnic and religious allegiances; well-being, health and security; demographics and socio-economics.

Europa: Gateway to the European Union
This web site provides information on many topics including agriculture, economics, and transportation. Click on the subject and look for statistics under the Documentation section. You'll see a data tab at the top.

Federal State Statistics Service
The web site provides information for Russia on population, labor, education, living standards, public health, transportation, prices, and many more things. For example, in education, it does show education attainment. The web site is slow to load.

FIRST (Facts on International Relations and Security Trends)
FIRST is an integrated database system contains clearly documented information from research institutes around the world. It covers areas in the field of international relations and security, such as hard facts on armed conflicts and peace keeping, arms production and trade, military expenditure, armed forces and conventional weapons holding, nuclear weapons, chronology, indicators, statistics and other reference data.

Hungarian Central Statistical Office
Click on English on the top. In the left column is a section called data. Click on themes. (Maybe this link will work: http://portal.ksh.hu/portal/page?_pageid=38,447568&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL.). It includes topics on society, education, economic indicators, agriculture, and more. For example, under Economic sectors is a section called post, telecommunication. One of the tables is Number of the Internet subscribers by access services.

Industrial Commodity Statistics
Published by the UN, this book is a compilation of statistics on world industrial production.

Information on National Statistical Systems
Available through the UN, this web site provides links to national statistical offices for countries around the world.

International Monetary Fund
The IMF publishes a range of time series data on IMF lending, exchange rates and other economic and financial indicators.

International Traffic Safety Data and Analysis Group (IRTAD)
Available through the OECD, the IRTAD provides an aggregated database, in which international accident and victim as well as exposure data are collected on a continuous basis. Full access is only available to members, but they do have some freely available data too including road fatalities by type of road, road usage (pedestrians, bicyclists, motorized two-wheelers, or cars), or age.

IPUMS International
IPUMS-International is a project dedicated to collecting and distributing census data from around the world.

Least Developed Countries Report
UNCTAD's Least Developed Countries Report provides a comprehensive and authoritative source of socio-economic analysis and data on the world's most impoverished countries. Each Report contains a statistical annex, which provides basic data on the LDCs. We also have this in print in the library.

OECD
OECD has international data on many subjects including agriculture, demography, development, economics, education, energy, environment, finance, globalisation, health, industry, technology, trade, labour, economic indicators, prices, productivity, taxation, science, social and welfare, and transportation.

IPUMS International
IPUMS-International is a project dedicated to collecting and distributing census data from around the world.

Penn World Table
The Penn World Table provides purchasing power parity and national income accounts converted to international prices for 188 countries for some or all of the years 1950-2004. The European Union or the OECD provide more detailed purchasing power and real product estimates for their countries and the World Bank makes current price estimates for most PWT countries at the GDP level.

Russian Economic Reports
Russian Economic Reports is a series of periodic economic reports form the Moscow office of the World Bank. Each report contains a concise description of the major economic trends and issues facing the Russian economy. In addition, the reports often includes a special focus, based on work carried out by the World Bank as part of its assistance program to the Russian Federation. There are tables within the reports. For example, within the Nov. 2007 report there is a graph comparing labor costs between Russian and other countries including Hungary (page 5 of 29). The last page (29 of 29) is a table of economic indicator information including GDP info and average wage.

Statistical Agencies (International)
Available through the US Census Bureau, this lists statistics available by country.

United Nations Statistics Division
This site contains a number of statistical database and cover areas like agriculture, environment, social, and development statistics.

The World Bank
The World Bank has national and international statistics including world development indictators and country profiles.

World Database of Happiness
The World Database of Happiness is an ongoing register of scientific research on the subjective enjoyment of life. It brings together findings that are scattered throughout many studies and provides a basis for synthetic work.

World Health Organization (WHO)
WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. They have data on mortality and health status, diseases, immunization, maternal neonatal care, nutrition, alcohol, obesity, nutrition, tobacco, water and sanitation, and the health systems of international areas.

Zhongguo tong ji nian jian [electronic resource] = China statistical yearbook / Zhongguo guo jia tong ji ju bian.
This statistical yearbook is available on CD in the Digital and Multimedia Center in the Main Library.
