AgingStats.gov
(Federal Interagency Forum on Aging-Related Statistics) This website features the Older Americans: Key Indicators of Well-Being report that covers key indicators selected to portray aspects of the lives of older Americans and their families. The report is divided into five subject areas: population, economics, health status, health risks and behaviors, and health care. Key indicators are also available in Excel spreadsheet format. It also includes the data sources used, which can be used to find additional information. Reports are available for 2000, 2004, and 2006. The reports are also available in print in the Main Library.
American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI)
ACSI reports scores on a 0-100 scale at the national level and produces indexes for 10 economic sectors, 43 industries (including e-commerce and e-business) and more than 200 companies and federal or local government agencies. In addition to the company-level satisfaction scores, ACSI produces scores for the causes and consequences of customer satisfaction and their relationships. The measured companies, industries, and sectors are broadly representative of the U.S. economy serving American households.
Arts & economic prosperity : the economic impact of nonprofit arts organizations and their audiences : national report / Americans for the Arts.
The report claims to be the most comprehensive economic impact study of the nonprofit arts industry ever conducted, it is based on surveys of 3,000 nonprofit arts organizations and more than 40,000 attendees at arts events in 91 cities in 33 states, plus the District of Columbia.

Business Expenditures Survey
The purpose of the survey is to provide periodic national estimates on operating expenses for merchant wholesale, retail trade, and selected service industries. Data are collected on operating expenses including payroll and fringe benefits, contract labor costs, taxes and license fees, packaging and containers, transportation and warehousing services, depreciation and amortization charges, software and other computer expenses, communications services, computer and other supplies, office supplies, repair and maintenance expenses, lease and rental payments, printing, utilities, advertising, accounting, insurance, management and consulting services and legal services.

This web site is a depository for data developed through research at the Center for International Development at Harvard University (CID). Often the data are associated with a research paper and, thus, the paper is also available for downloading.

Comprehensive online database focusing on economic statistics of China, arranged by regions and categories. It is only located on the Main Library Reference Consulting computer.
County Business Patterns
The County Business Patterns data base provides county, state, and national level business data from 1977 to the most recent year available. Statistics include number of establishments, payroll (annual and 1st quarter), number of employees, and number of establishments by size class for 2 digit SIC industry groupings. Current Industrial Reports (CIR)
The CIR program has been providing monthly, quarterly, and annual measures of industrial activity for many years. The primary objective of the CIR program is to produce timely, accurate data on production and shipments of selected products.

EconData
This is the home page for the EconData service of Inforum, at the University of Maryland. Several hundred thousand economic time series, produced by a number U.S. Government agencies and distributed in a variety of formats and media, can be found here. Data has been put into a standard, highly efficient, easy-to-use form for personal computers and made publicly available through this site. These series include national income and product accounts (NIPA), labor statistics, price indices, current business indicators, and industrial production.

Economic Expert Group
The Russian Group provides a table of key economic indictators for Russia. It provides recent information like CPI, PPI, GDP, and budget information.
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)
A key player in the U.S. financial system, the FDIC has data and statistics on the banking world.
Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS)
The FPDS is the central repository of statistical information on federal contracting. The system currently collects detailed information on contract actions over $2,500 and purchase card data on procurements of less than $2,500. It includes characteristics of the businesses. Registration is required to access the data.
Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED)
FRED is a database of over 15,000 U.S. economic time series. With FRED you can download data in Microsoft Excel and text formats and view charts of data series. ArchivaL Federal Reserve Economic Data (ALFRED) provides vintage data.
Historical Statistics of the United States
The electronic edition has been designed to give users a variety of means to search and navigate the vast amount of data in the Historical Statistics. Users will be able to graph individual tables or to combine data from different tables into "custom tables" and to download tables for use in spreadsheets and other applications.
Industrial Research and Development Information System (IRIS)
The Survey of Industry Research and Development is the primary source of information on Research and Development (R&D) performed by industries within the United States. This searchable database contains all tables produced from published R&D surveys from 1953 through 1998. These tables include statistics for selected periods on such measures as industry R&D funding and industry R&D personnel. These statistics are broken out by such dimensions as source, industrial sector, character of work, and company size.

Made available by the International Trade Administration, this web site provides trade and industry data including imports, exports, balance of trade by country, state and metropolitan area.
Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
This web site provides statistics and data on taxes for different entities like for individuals, businesses, and statistics by tax form.
International Monetary Fund
The IMF publishes a range of time series data on IMF lending, exchange rates and other economic and financial indicators.

Office of Policy
Available through the Social Security Administration, the Office of Policy is the agency's source for statistics on the impact and operations of the Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income programs and on the earnings of the working and beneficiary populations. The office develops and maintains a series of detailed statistical databases, prepares a broad range of statistical tables, and produces statistical compilations and publications both in print and on the Internet.
Penn World Table
The Penn World Table provides purchasing power parity and national income accounts converted to international prices for 188 countries for some or all of the years 1950-2004. The European Union or the OECD provide more detailed purchasing power and real product estimates for their countries and the World Bank makes current price estimates for most PWT countries at the GDP level.

This web site lists sources for economic data including U.S. Macro and Regional Data, Other U.S. Data, World and Non-U.S. Data, Finance and Financial Markets, and Journal Data and Program Archives.
Russian Economic Reports
Russian Economic Reports is a series of periodic economic reports form the Moscow office of the World Bank. Each report contains a concise description of the major economic trends and issues facing the Russian economy. In addition, the reports often includes a special focus, based on work carried out by the World Bank as part of its assistance program to the Russian Federation. There are tables within the reports. For example, within the Nov. 2007 report there is a graph comparing labor costs between Russian and other countries including Hungary (page 5 of 29). The last page (29 of 29) is a table of economic indicator information including GDP info and average wage.
State Government Tax Collections (STC)
The State Government Tax Collections (STC) report provides a summary of taxes collected by state for up to 25 tax categories. These tables and data files present the details on tax collections by type of tax imposed and collected by state governments. Data is available from 1992 on.
State of the Cities Data Systems (SOCDS)
The SOCDS provides data for individual Metropolitan Areas, Central Cities, and Suburbs. It includes information on demographic and economic characteristics, employment, crime, building permits, and government finances.
The State of the Nation's Cities: A Comprehensive Database on American Cities and Suburbs
This is a comprehensive database on 77 American cities and suburbs. As of January 19, 1998 Version 2.2a of the database brings together over 3,000 variables from a wide variety of sources, allowing easy comparability of indicators on employment and economic development, demographic measures, housing and land use, income and poverty, fiscal conditions, and a host of other health, social, and environmental indicators.
State Politics and Policy Quarterly -- Data Resource
This site provides data on more than 50 variables under the topics of state data, population and vital statistics, politics, education, crime, and business and economy.

Survey of Consumer Finances (SCF)
The Survey of Consumer Finances (SCF) is a triennial survey of the balance sheet, pension, income, and other demographic characteristics of U.S. families. The survey also gathers information on the use of financial institutions.
TransMONEE
The TransMONEE is the database associated with the UNICEF IRC's MONEE project. It contains data related to the social and economic situation and wellbeing of children, young people and women in Central and Eastern Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Baltic States (CEE/CIS).
TreasuryDirect
Available through the Bureau of the Public Debt, this web site has data available on U.S. Savings Bonds, Treasury bills and notes and bonds, and other public-debt-related resources.
