Here are a list of databases from the Business Library. Many contain data. Some are only accessible in the Business Library.
American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI)
ACSI reports scores on a 0-100 scale at the national level and produces indexes for 10 economic sectors, 43 industries (including e-commerce and e-business) and more than 200 companies and federal or local government agencies. In addition to the company-level satisfaction scores, ACSI produces scores for the causes and consequences of customer satisfaction and their relationships. The measured companies, industries, and sectors are broadly representative of the U.S. economy serving American households.
Bureau of Labor Statistics
The Bureau of Labor Statistics is the principal fact-finding agency for the Federal Government in the broad field of labor economics and statistics.

Business Expenditures Survey
The purpose of the survey is to provide periodic national estimates on operating expenses for merchant wholesale, retail trade, and selected service industries. Data are collected on operating expenses including payroll and fringe benefits, contract labor costs, taxes and license fees, packaging and containers, transportation and warehousing services, depreciation and amortization charges, software and other computer expenses, communications services, computer and other supplies, office supplies, repair and maintenance expenses, lease and rental payments, printing, utilities, advertising, accounting, insurance, management and consulting services and legal services.
Business.gov
The federal government is the largest data producer in the world. Several government agencies and offices exist solely to collect, analyze, and report on business, industrial, and economic activity. This guide provides a collection of business data and statistical sources freely available from several federal agencies.
County Business Patterns
The County Business Patterns data base provides county, state, and national level business data from 1977 to the most recent year available. Statistics include number of establishments, payroll (annual and 1st quarter), number of employees, and number of establishments by size class for 2 digit SIC industry groupings. Current Industrial Reports (CIR)
The CIR program has been providing monthly, quarterly, and annual measures of industrial activity for many years. The primary objective of the CIR program is to produce timely, accurate data on production and shipments of selected products.
Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS)
The FPDS is the central repository of statistical information on federal contracting. The system currently collects detailed information on contract actions over $2,500 and purchase card data on procurements of less than $2,500. It includes characteristics of the businesses. Registration is required to access the data.
Penn World Table
The Penn World Table provides purchasing power parity and national income accounts converted to international prices for 188 countries for some or all of the years 1950-2004. The European Union or the OECD provide more detailed purchasing power and real product estimates for their countries and the World Bank makes current price estimates for most PWT countries at the GDP level.
Statistics of U.S. Businesses
Data files used in the Statistics of U.S. Businesses (SUSB) program were created from the annual County Business Patterns (CBP) files. SUSB tabulates the following key economic data items: Companies, Establishments, Employment, Annual Payroll, and Additionally, receipts are available for 1997 & 2002.
Unionstats.com
The Union Membership and Coverage Database, available at www.unionstats.com, is an Internet data resource providing private and public sector labor union membership, coverage, and density estimates compiled from the Current Population Survey (CPS), a monthly household survey, using BLS methods. Economy-wide estimates are provided beginning in 1973; estimates by state, detailed industry, and detailed occupation begin in 1983; and estimates by metropolitan area begin in 1986. The Database, constructed by Barry Hirsch (Georgia State University) and David Macpherson (Florida State University), is updated annually.
