Configuring Opera 8.x


Opera 8.x - cable modem/dls configuration


1. Select Edit , then Preferences from the Menu Bar.



2. Select Network from the menu selection on the left side of the dialog box, then click the button for proxy servers. You won't have to change any of the other network settings  on in this dialog box for the proxy server configuration.
 

3. Type (or copy) this URL into the field for the automatic proxy configuration: http://www.msu.edu/service/web/proxy/msu.js Make sure the box is checked, then click the OK button.
 

4 When the proxy server configuration window has closed, click on the Apply button and the click the OK button to close the Preferences dialog box.

 

5. In your browser window, you will need to Reload the page for the settings to activate and display the proxy authentication dialog box. Enter your MSUnet ID and password then click OK to begin using your proxy settings.
