Florence G. Wallace Conservation Lab

The Collections Conservation Unit is housed in the Florence G. Wallace Conservation Lab in Giltner Hall on MSU's campus. The Wallace Conservation Lab considers its responsibility to stabilize and sustain the Libraries' collection of over 5 million books as its primary mission while it takes on the job of repairing damaged books from its various collections both on and off campus. While the Lab's main focus is on the circulating collections, it is equipped to handle more complex treatments from Special Collections and other departments with old and rare or unusual volumes, as well as flat items such as maps.
