In the middle of March, when the expectations for how and where work in Technical Services would continue were very much in flux, Emily leveraged the skills she developed over the last two years creating and maintaining documentation in Confluence to quickly launch a landing page for special project work that could be done remotely. With the help of Autumn Faulkner, she devised conventions for using the landing page that managers could follow. Her initiative, quick thinking and ongoing follow-up over subsequent weeks gave Tech Services Team Managers an intuitive, well-organized home to post projects and procedural documentation. Her plan was adopted and was instrumental in speedily providing meaningful telecommuting options for many Tech Services staff, allowing us to comply with stay-at-home orders and help flatten the curve. For these reasons, Emily Sanford deserve special recognition.
