How to do a Keyword Search - Step 4:
After clicking on the link for Lighthouses of Northwest Michigan, you will have a screen that looks like this:
This is the catalog record for the book, Lighthouses of Northwest Michigan. The author and title (in bold letters) appear at the top. The location, call number, and status of the book appear in the box below the title. Additional information such as publisher, subject fields, physical description, and ISBN number is also included.
PLEASE NOTE: The location for this item is LIB OF MICH, meaning it is at the Library of Michigan in downtown Lansing. The holdings of the Library of Michigan are also included in MSU's MAGIC Online Catalog. You are welcome to check out these items at the Library of Michigan or request them through MeLCat (see How to do a MeLCat Search).
To find the book, you will need to know the...
  • LOCATION: indicates which of the various places in the Main Library and/or in which branch library the item is housed
  • CALL NO.: the "address of the book on the shelf"; where it will be located on the shelf
  • STATUS: indicates whether the book is on the shelf, checked out, missing, etc.
