Map Library - Function and Responsibilities

The goal of the Map Library is to provide cartographic information and reference assistance to its users.

The Map Library consists of a collection of general and thematic maps, atlases, gazettes and other reference aids including cds, and provides some GIS services and products for patron use.

The Map Library is a reference collection, with the exception of assigned reading items, the materials do not circulate. Assigned reading items circulate for a two-hour period A valid MSU identification card or driver's license is necessary to check out materials.

Large tables are available to facilitate map use; quiet group discussion is permitted and map users have priority for study areas.

Copy machines are available for duplicating, reducing and enlarging at $.10 per sheet. Change is not available in the Map Library.
