News & Announcements From the Field
Libraries that submitted self studies this year may not
receive replies until next spring. It was previously announced that
the reviews would be done this fall. Libraries inspected in 1994 can
still expect letters requesting a self study but probably at the end
of the year. This is per Ann's conversation with Sheila McGarr.
During a recent site visit Ann Sanders discovered an
unauthorized housing agreement. It was the feeling by the council that
it is important to get a better handle on any selective housing
agreements. Paula will send a letter to the selectives about improving
outreach efforts to special housing locations. It was also proposed
that Ferris State be added to the state disposal distribution list and
allowed to use Documents Assistant software. This is in recognition of
their long-standing and demonstrated commitment to the goals of the
depository program.
