It's a wild world out there. Terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington on September 11; anthrax via the U.S. amil; undeclared war in Afghanistan; and viruses via the world wide web.

While checking for additional Red Tape entries, the Red Tape editor returned to FedBuzz.Com, a site he had visited a number of times before for federal information nuggets, only to receive a virus as an additional bonus. Fortunately, he had a virus filter on his computer so very little damage was done.

The current Godort of Michigan mailing list can be located on the Godort of Michigan Home Page at http://www.lib.msu.edu/harris23/migodort/migodort.htm. Please check to see if your name has been recorded. And it's never too late to join Godort of Michigan in case you have forgotten to renew for this year.

Don't forget to attend not one but two government documents meetings in the near future. The Michigan Council of Federal Depository Libraries has scheduled a meeting in Albion on October 30th. And Godort of Michigan is jointly sponsoring a tri-state meeting in Bowling Green, Ohio on November 2nd. The Red Tape Editor will appreciate any reports by Godort of Michigan members attending either meeting!
