Network For Good

In the works for more than a year, the Network for Good site is designed to match nonprofit groups with donors and volunteers interested in giving time and money to their favorite causes. To that end, the site groups together a variety of online tools and resources, including the VolunteerMatch search engine, which allows prospective volunteers to search for opportunities by geographic region and area of interest.

Volunteer Impact

Value of Volunteer Time

The value of volunteer time is based on the average hourly earnings of all nonagricultural workers as determined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Independent Sector takes this figure and increases it by 12 percent to estimate for fringe benefits.
