Effective women's programs need resources -- people, time, money and skill. To help women's nonprofit in every part of Michigan learn to develop and increase these resource, MWF offers an ongoing program of management training and consulting.
Foundation-sponsored workshops provide training in fund raising, volunteer development, personnel and other management topics for staff and volunteers of women's and girls' organizations. Using the skills of professionals who volunteer their time as trainers and those of MWF staff, the Foundation offers these workshops throughout the state.
Workshops such as Developing an Annual Fund Raising Plan and Effective Board Membership have elicited enthusiastic responses:
MWF staff also provides individualized consultation to help agencies work on management issues in depth.
The Management Assistance Program allows MWF to assist dozens of women's nonprofit organizations each year.
