Criminal Justice Resources :
Basic Background Information
Catalog Searching :
- The Library Home Page : Note the Quick Search section.
- Encore : the new catalog under development
- Advanced Search : the old catalog
- Please realize that the online Catalog contains material from more than one library : the MSU Main Library, MSU Branch Libraries, the MSU College of Law Library, the Library of Michigan, and the MSU Archives

- MeLCat (Michigan E-Library Catalog) : Searches the catalogs of many public and academic libraries around Michigan. If available, the book can be delivered to the circulation desk for you within 3 to 7 days. (The University of Michigan at Ann Arbor does not participate.)
- Illiad : Use for books, articles, dissertations, etc. not listed in MeLCat.
- WorldCat (OCLC) : WorldCat contains more than 35 million records describing items owned by over 3,000 libraries around the world. Each record indicates library holdings and contains a "Request this item in ILLiad" link.
- Course Reserves : occasionally materials will be put on reserve for a specific class. They are located in the Copy Center (2 West).
- Criminal Justice Reference Tools in Main Library Reference
- Reference Universe : This database searches the complete indexes of more than 10,000 reference titles. Nearly 2,000 of these titles are online editions. Although this index provides call numbers, it doesn't provide locations so you may still have to check our online catalog for availability/location.
