Online Resources

Several very good online resources are related to career development or job search for scientists:

From the main page, you can get to pages specific for different countries such as the U.S. From that page, look on the right for the Editor's picks of links to try, such as the one for a new discussion forum. There is a Careers in Science Weblog as well. Community Net lists online meeting places and listservs for different early career researchers such as minority scientists, women scientists, gay scientists, or postdocs: (PostDoc Network ).

naturejobs

From the journal Nature, this site has articles related to jobs in all areas of science. The life sciences channel is particular relevant to biological careers. There are links to salary surveys and regional reports as well as a searchable database of posted jobs.
