Student Tutorial Education Project (STEP) Archive

The Student Tutorial Education Project (STEP) was conducted during the three summers of 1966, 1967, and 1968 at Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi. It was a collaborative effort between MSU educators, MSU student volunteers, and high school seniors entering Rust College as freshmen. Each six week summer program was intended to improve student skills in the areas of writing, communication, and mathematics. The STEP archive was donated in 2007 by Rev. John S. Duley, Laimdota Mazzarins, John Schuiteman, Theda Barron Skocpol, and Bill Skocpol.
