The Vincent Voice Library

The University Seal

In 1962, G. Robert Vincent donated his collection of recorded voices to the MSU Libraries. The voices of Theodore Roosevelt, King George V, and Florence Nightingdale were among the more than 8,000 voices going back to 1888 on records, tapes, and cylinders. Over the past half century the Vincent Voice Library has grown to over 100,000 recorded voices to become one of the world's greatest research collections for the spoken word.
