Discovering Darwin, Celebrating Science

Now through March 31, 2013
2nd Floor, West Wing

Each year, on or near February 12, the birthday anniversary of evolutionary biologist Charles Darwin, museums, libraries, natural history organizations, and science centers around the world join to celebrate science and the contributions of Charles Darwin. This exhibit highlights Darwin's early life, voyage on the Beagle, and explorations in the Galápagos, through a selection of Library resources and museum artifacts. MSU's 2013 Darwin Discovery Day activities will be held at the MSU Museum on Sunday, February 10, from 1-5 p.m. Admission is free. The theme of this year's event is "Tales of Scales," focusing on Darwin's observations of reptiles.
