Microform Collections

The Libraries have many primary resources on the Revolutionary War which are in microform collections.  These collections include Pamphlets in American History, Early American Imprints and the American Culture Series. All materials in these collections are cataloged individually in the online catalog, Magic.

Pamphlets in American History, Revolutionary War contains 404 titles--opinions on Colonial rights and Great Britain's rights, accounts of battles, opinions and debates on the Declaration of Independence, as well as material on every issue surrounding the Revolutionary era.


Early American Imprints  is a rare and exceptional record of early American life during the 17th and 18th centuries and reproduces every existent book, pamphlet and broadside published in America from 1639 through 1800.


American Culture Series II is a definitive, selected research collection of 5,600 titles dating from 1493-1875. The 5,600 titles in this collection represent what are considered to be fundamental research materials in interdisciplinary American Studies curricula.
