The contents of this collection contain photographs and photocopies of photographs of Nina Wayne with various family members and friends. Handwriting appears to be Nina Wayne’s.
Nina Rae Wayne was born September 18, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. She is a dancer, ice skater, and an American actress. She and John Drew Barrymore had a daughter named Brahma (Jessica) Barrymore. She later married David Wheeler but later divorced him. They had two children. David Wheeler died in 2001.
Nina Wayne is the younger sister of actress Carol Wayne. Both sisters headed to Las Vegas where Nina was supposedly voted most beautiful showgirl in Las Vegas.
She started working in television in 1965. She first appeared 12 episodes of the series Camp Runamuck and in an episode of Bewitched. The first movie in her career that she appeared in was in Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round (1966) with James Coburn and an uncredited Harrison Ford in his film debut. Wayne's big movie break came when she starred opposite Jack Lemmon and Peter Falk in the romantic comedy Luv (1967). She followed this up with an appearance in The Comic (1969) with Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney.
Her last appearance as an actress was in on the 1972 TV crime drama The Night Strangler.
