The Collection of Esoteric and Metaphysical Literature contains 280 pieces. This collection consists of pamphlets, brochures, flyers, newsletters, book catalogues, and other documents, covering such subjects as parapsychology, oriental and alternative medicines, meditation, spiritual healing, UFOlogy, the philosophies of various religious traditions, and various other esoteric and metaphysical topics.

Historical Background:

Dr. Bruce P. Tracy, a professor at The Small College at California State College began in the 1970s to collect various materials pertaining to esoteric and metaphysical studies following his doctoral work on the inner consciousness at Michigan State University. This collection consists of many different subjects within the esoteric and metaphysical sphere. Some of these topics include pseudo-sciences such as astrology and parapsychology, alternative medicines like acupuncture, and material from various fringe religions, primarily in the California area.
