Healing Hands: Nurses During the U.S. Civil War

This exhibit provides a general overview of nursing during the Civil war and showcases several Civil War nurses: Clara Barton, Dorothea Dix, Louisa May Alcott, Mary Livermore, and Mary Ann Bickerdyke. Civil War nursing books from the MSU Libraries' extensive collection are featured.
