Mickey Mouse Recipe Scrap Book

no preview available

The front cover shows Mickey Mouse lifting up a collectible card revealing a recipe inside the scrap book. Pluto the dog and Minnie Mouse look on. The illustration uses black, red, white, yellow and a yellow-orange coloring. The title, "Mickey Mouse Recipe Scrap Book," is written in red and black ink with the words "Mickey Mouse" in a cartoon font. The back cover has a text box in the center of the page with an promotion for Christie's Bamby Bread. Outside of the text book are illustrations of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and a young mouse in various poses. The illustrations are done in black, red, white, yellow, orange-yellow and pink. The front inside cover, titled "Friends, Fun and Food," is written from the standpoint of Mickey Mouse, though this is inferred, as he takes a break from filming his newest movie and sits outside the studio. Minnie Mouse and Pluto are also described in this scene. Mickey Mouse describes how friends, fun and food are some of his favorite things and how to deal with fear. The inside of the back cover is a continuation of the text from the inside front cover. The second part of this text explains how Mickey told his cousin, Wilbur, who is too often scared to eat bread to gain strength. The interior of the pamphlet has black and white recipes on each page. The layout is similar to the back cover. The recipes are in a text box in the center of the page with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and a young mouse posing around the frame. The first page explains that the collectible cards can be found with bread loaves. The pages in the scrap book are laid out so the collectible cards can be pasted at the top of the center text box, over the recipe. The cards can then be lifted to reveal the recipe. Some recipes include: meat loaf with cheese crust, escalloped ham and apples, pineapple crisp pie, cheese and vegetable fondue, Swedish crumble cake, noodles with bread crumbs, baked peanut butterscotch pudding, chocolate bread pudding, meatballs supreme and cheese creole.
