Baby Is King [Carnrick's Lacto-preparata And Carnrick's Soluble Food]

no preview available

The cream paper cover shows the photograph of a baby in a diamond-shaped frame. Flowers are illustrated to the left of the frame and a winter landscape illustration falls behind the diamond frame. The title, "Baby is King," is written in large brown lettering, with a smaller and lighter-brown text below the title enticing the reader to open the pamphlet for secrets to a healthy childhood. The back of the pamphlet has a rectangular photograph of an older baby, perhaps around one-year-old, standing near a stool. Lightly drawn flowers from the front cover of the pamphlet stretch behind the top right corner of the photograph. The inside of the front cover is a letter addressed "To Mothers" that explains that Carnrick's Lacto-preparata is the only only artificial all-milk formula, as opposed to those made entirely from cereals, for children from birth to seven or eight months. Carnrick's Soluble Food is suitable for the remainder of the nursing period and invalids. At the bottom of the page there are free offers for the pamphlets "Our Baby's First and Second Years" and "Diet for the Older Little Ones". The inside of the back cover portrays the Page quadruplets from Ingersoll, Texas. A drawing of the four babies appears on the top half of the page, followed by a letter from their father reflecting on his experience with baby formula and food and recommending Carnrick's Soluble Food. The interior of the pamphlet introduces the Carnrick's products and includes the poems "Baby is King" and "Weighing the Baby. Interspersed between the poems are testimonials by customers describing their success with the Carnrick's products. Before and after photos of children accompany several of the testimonials. The final page introduces the Reed & Carnrick product, Kumysgen, which is nourishment for invalids and people suffering from various illnesses.
