Description:

The front cover has a black and white photograph of various household items in the background. A pink, darker pink and fuchsia scallop shape is on top of the photograph image. The scallop shape has thin white sketches of a father, mother, daughter and son, with the title, "Gifts for the Entire Family." A white band with black text across the bottom of the cover states, states "Premium list and Columbine milk recipes." The fuchsia back has a white band with bold black ink across the top proclaiming, "Save the Label-Coupons." Two black and white cans of milk have fuchsia coupons flying out from behind the larger can. A sketch done with thin white lines shows the hand of a woman holding a pair of scissors that are cutting a coupon off of the larger can of milk. The inside front cover has a black and white illustration of a can of milk followed by directions for trading in the coupons for household articles or cash. The inside back cover has postal rules and instructions including a map of the region around Denver, the postal rates for the various zones by pound and directions in figuring out the postal rates. The largest section of the pamphlet is made up of the premium list, divided by the type of item. The sections include: open stock dinnerware, china and glassware, kitchen utensils, household articles, smokers and beverage articles, leather goods and travel items, jewelry, dry goods, silverware, recreation and sports, for stamp collectors, toys and games, for baby, miscellaneous and official Boy Scouts equipment. Each article has a premium number, article description and number of label-coupons needed to receive the article. The middle section of the pamphlet covers the irradiation process, why Columbine milk is good for cooking and creaming, baby's bottles and for older children, followed by suggestions on preparing the milk for babies. The final section of the pamphlet lists recipes such as: oyster stew, cream of tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup, cream of split pea soup, asparagus with egg sauce, escalloped corn and celery, white sauce, ginger ale salad, tomato salad, devil's food cake, caramel icing, pumpkin pie, butterscotch pie, chocolate ice cream, pineapple mouse and banana cream. A table of wights for each item you can redeem is on the last page, along with more details on shipping the packages.
