Little Cookbooks: The Alan and Shirley Brocker Sliker Culinary Collection

Better Cakes

The front panel of the two-fold, six-panel leaflet features a color drawing of a devil's food cake on a platter, with one slice resting in front and at least a quarter of the cake missing. The cake has white frosting. Beneath the illustration on a red background is title text reading Better Cakes, followed by Pastry And Biscuits Result From "Famo" Cake Flour. Beneath the text is a blank space where a retailer could enter its name. The back panel features text reading "Famo" Make From Selected Wheat, The Perfect Cake Flour. A drawing of a stalk of wheat is in the middle of the panel, with a bag of Famo Cake Flour partially behind the stalk. The four inside panels all feature recipes for cakes, pies, frostings and biscuits.
