Description:

The front panel of the trade card features a color illustration of an elephant blowing a can of baking powder at a clown. In front of the elephant is a large can of Sterling Baking Powder with a baby elephant on top. Text on the panel reads Sterling Baking Powder, Sold By All First Class Grocers, Try It. In the right bottom corner of the panel is the name of the printer: Donaldson Brothers, Five Points, N.Y. The back panel lists cities where Sterling Baking Powder has been entered in competitions and exhibitions in 1879 and 1880. Text also notes that the product has been used by the army.
