Description:
The wrap-around blue cover has black bands at the top and bottom inside white bands filled with criss-cross blue lines. The front cover has a black circle with the title in blue with borders in white, blue and white. There are blue tabs on each side with the names of the four seasons in white. The front end page has a blue flower around the title of "Seasonable Menus and Dishes for Your Table," a signed message from Mary Blake, Home Counselor, Carnation Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The back end page has an index with blue bands at the top and bottom.The first page has "It's a Joy to Cook this Easy, Economical Way" which promotes using Carnation Evaporated Milk in recipes to get "always uniform and dependable" results. There are menus and recipes for each of the seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter), as well as for babies and growing children, and for children. There is a page of Cookery Advice, including how to whip Carnation Milk, a Table of Weights and Measures, a Temperature Chart and a Table of Equivalents. The last two pages promote the Carnation Cook Book which can be obtained by sending in 15ยข. There are several full-page black-and-white photographs and blue lines and line drawings on most pages.
