A page on Box Lunches provides ideas for the homemaker to create new combinations and old favorites for her children or husband "with ease and finesse." There are recipes for Beverages, Breads, Candies, Cakes and Cookies, Frozen Desserts, Desserts, Casserole Dishes, Salads, Meats, Fish and Poultry, Pies, Sauces, Soups, Vegetables and Leftovers. The last page is a promo for the Carnation cook Book by Mary Blake which can be sent for by mailing in 20¢ in coins or stamps. There are black-and-white full-page photographs of several recipes. Inserted is a blue order blank for "Deluxe Carnation Cook Book."
