The title page has a signed note in a gold and green frame from the author, Mary Blake, Home Economics Department, Carnation Company, Offices at Milwaukee, Wis., Aylmer, Ont., New York and Seattle, Wash. At the top is a drawing of a woman in a round decorative gold and green frame and a single carnation is at the bottom of the frame. Below the frame is a color drawing of cows on a farm. "Take Delight of the New in Cookery" describes what Carnation Milk is and how it can be used in recipes, followed by how to use Carnation Milk in feeding babies since it is "super-digestible" and supplies vitamins and minerals. "General Directions" for using Carnation Milk precede recipes for beverages, breads, cakes and cookies, candies, desserts, puddings, fish, meats, pastry, salads, salad dressings, sauces, soups and vegetables. There are color illustrations with some recipes.
