The back has a large can of Carnation Milk with a pink carnation behind it on a cream background. "The Story of Carnation Quality" tells how "The women of American have learned the Carnation secret" with information on the history of Carnation, how Carnation Milk is made and the many uses and benefits of Carnation Milk. Recipes follow for bread, stew, soup, salad dressing, creamed vegetables, fish, chicken, sauces, cocoa, custards, pie, ice cream and fudge. At the bottom of each left page is "Carnation Milk" in red and white outlined lettering and "From Contented Cows" on left pages in red and white outlined lettering. There are no page numbers.
