The front cover features an illustration of prime rib on a silver platter with a platter of corn above. At the top of the illustration, the title "How To Freeze Foods" is written in black and red lettering against a white background. The back cover contains an illustration of chocolate two layer cake with white icing. One piece of cake and one piece of cherry pie are in the center. The inside pages begin with a table of contents and continue with a few pages of basic information about freezing foods. The rest of the inside pages are split into different food categories including vegetables, fruits, meats, poultry and other foods. All categories entail directions on how to freeze various foods that fall under that category. Along the bottom for each category, there are black and white illustrations depicting the step-by-step process of different foods. There is also a section starting on page fifty one titled "Preparation For Table" which contains topics such as Cooking Frozen Vegetables, Cooking Frozen Meats, Cooking Wild Game, and Preparing Frozen Fish. Pages sixty through sixty two are made up of the complete index.
